WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
I chose to attend Linfield because of their great education program. I plan to major in physical education to become a PE Teacher. I also chose Linfield because of their phenomenal football program that has had huge and continued success. This all provides me an opportunity to compete and continue to play competitive football.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD?
Being a student-athlete to me means being part of a winning culture, being at a school that values student-athletes and being able to represent my football team with strong performances in the classroom.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I am a multi-sport athlete that valued playing more than just one sport in high school. I have put the same emphasis on my schoolwork as I have on the field, maintaining a 3.96 GPA throughout high school.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD?
My career focus is to major in physical education and to become a PE/Health teacher. Linfield has a great education program that will help me stay on track for on-time graduation and success after college.
WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY?
HHPA 288 or Physical Activity for Children is the best class I have taken at the school. I am wanting to become a Physical Education Teacher and this class allowed me and my peers to teach home-schooled students a P.E. lesson once a week. It was some of the first hands-on work I've had towards my future career and allowed all of us to put everything we've learned into practice.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My mom and dad have been the greatest inspiration in my life, by far. Both of them continue to make countless sacrifices to do whatever it takes to allow me to continue playing college sports and attend a great university. They have also shown me the importance of family and commitment as they continue to come to all of my games, making it a priority!
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…
Nothing is given in athletics. You have to earn everything and be willing to tackle any obstacles that might get thrown your way.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE…
As a team, I think the goal is pretty straightforward as last year did not end the way we wanted it to. Our goal is to go win the conference championship and try to make a run for a national championship. Individually, I would like to continue to make academics a priority while, as an athlete, being prepared mentally and physically for whatever is asked of me to continue to contribute to the team's success. |
