WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because of the great nursing program, the great athletic programs, and the campus is beautiful.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-Athlete at Linfield means being the best person I can be on and off the field. I will practice as hard as I can and study as much as I can to better myself physically and mentally.

WHAT MAKES YOU AN INTERESTING STUDENT-ATHLETE? I do not care only about the sport I am playing, I am also one hundred percent dedicated to furthering my education and becoming a better person overall.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I aspire to be a Nurse Anesthetist (NA) and I believe that Linfield’s College of Nursing will help me become the best nurse that I can be and get me the best career possible.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Applied Exercise Phys. with Cisco Reyes. Opened my eyes to the many avenues that can be taken with an Exercise Science Degree.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INFLUENCE IN YOUR LIFE? My adoptive parents. I grew up in the foster care system and I was always bouncing from home to home. When I arrived at my current home, they took me in and loved me as if I was their own. I grew up in a disturbed household, so I had little sense of what it meant to be loved by family. Steve and Debbie have shown me parental guidance and love and allowed me to be the first in my family to attend college and participate in collegiate athletics, something I never thought I'd have the chance to do as a child.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE YOU’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS… To never settle for being average, or just doing enough to get by. You should always strive for greatness in everything that you do.

AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE TEAM GOALS ARE… To have a break-out year and win a national championship.
