PORTLAND, Ore. --- Linfield track and field completed their final tune-up ahead of next weekend's NWC Championships, hauling in dozens of personal best marks at Lewis & Clark's Larry Byerly Invitational.

The massive meet on the River Otters' campus brought in over 30 teams, including a handful of familiar NWC names prepping for next weekend's meet.Â

"I thought we competed really well today." Said head coach
Travis Olson. "It was a good tuneup for conference next week and I feel good about where we are at."

Freshman
Kiyan Vrell earned the best finish on the men's side on Saturday, placing eighth in the hammer throw with a best of 151 feet and nine inches.
Kekai Macabio (11.26 seconds) and
Kaleb Losoya (11.52 seconds) each earned new personal best times in the 100-meter sprint.

In the men's long jump,
Kala Hardie notched a new best with a leap of 21 feet and 1 ¼ inches.Â

The 4x100-meter relay squad of Macabio,
Jayden Donald,
Liam Christensen, and
Davidson Kathman finished fifth with a time of 42.91 seconds.Â

The women's team saw senior
Jordan Roberts place seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a mark of 15.64 seconds, meanwhile
Jordan Hayes and
Marley Ells each also nabbed personal-best marks in the 400-meter run to each finish inside the top-16.

Logan Roberts carded a top-five finish in the women's high jump with a leap of four feet, 11 ¾ inches. Roberts tied with Pacific's Allie Hammond for the best mark by a D3 athlete. In the javelin, first-year Wildcats
Haley Bland and
Mia Thompson each placed top-four, while junior
Eboni Zehner finished fifth in the event.

Freshman
Baylie Thompson earned a personal best as well as Division 3's No. 58 mark in the long jump, as her best of 17 feet 11 inches put her in second place as the top D3 finisher.
Savannah Filios also cracked the D3 top-100 in the shot put thanks to a toss of 40 feet two inches.Â

Jordan Roberts,
Baylie Thompson, and
Isabella Grutsch cracked the top-100 marks in Division III, finishing first in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 49.34 seconds; a new season best for the squad looking to make some noise in the NWC meet.Â

The 'Cats are set to head to Spokane, Washington, next weekend to compete in the Northwest Conference Championships hosted by Whitworth University on Saturday (11 a.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.)
