McMINNVILLE, Ore. --- Linfield women's golf competed in their final tournament prior to the NWC Championships, hosting the annual Wildcat Invitational at Michelbook Country Club. The Wildcats placed second as a team, led by freshman Addison Nations who carded her best rounds of the season to place runner-up.

Nations began her tournament with her lowest round of the year, 81, making ten pars and a birdie on the par-five ninth hole on Sunday. Her final round opened with seven consecutive pars to remain in the hunt, trailing only Puget Sound's Kira Goode. A 47 on her final nine led to an 83, her second-lowest round of the season, finishing as the tournament's runner-up.

Sophia Hamilton finished tied for ninth in the tournament, improving from an opening round 94 to shoot 87 on Monday afternoon. Hamilton tied with freshman Kariss Whitford, who competed as an individual. Whitford opened with a 92 but bounced back with five pars on Monday to shoot 89.

Breleigh Garcia was able to make more pars in the second round, shooting scores of 93, 95, in route to a 12th place finish. Sara Pate and Ainsley Kelley rounded out the lineup for the tournament, with Pate shooting 98, 102, and Kelley firing 101, 99. The duo tied for 14th for the weekend.

Kira Goode of Puget Sound claimed medalist honors with rounds of 76, 79, helping lead the Loggers to the team title with a total score of 672.
