No. 6 Southern Oregon sinks the Wildcats in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ore. --- Linfield men's wrestling dropped Saturday's road dual at the No. 6-ranked Southern Oregon Raiders, 48-7. Ethan Ensrud and Camden Roofener ended the dual with Linfield's two matches won.
 
Senior Jacob Moore kicked the evening's dual off at 125-pounds, taking on the No. 7-ranked wrestler at 125-pounds in the country at the NAIA level. Moore was pinned two minutes into the first period. The trend continued for the next three matches, with the Raiders earning pins near he midway point of the first period, taking an early 24-0 lead in the dual.
 
Damon Gasilos battled late into the second period of the 157-pound bout, ultimately losing to the whistle when he was pinned, with the similar happening to senior Lucien Lefebvre in the 165-pound match.
 
Southern Oregon earned their eighth consecutive pin, sealing the match along the way, as both Alex Tapia and Trey Dieringer were pinned.
 
Junior Ethan Ensrud maintained his stellar season as one of the Wildcat's best, putting the Wildcats on the board with a 15-3 major decision in the 197-pound match. Camden Roofener ended the night with Linfield's second win, grinding his way to a 7-4 decision. The No.6-ranked Raiders (NAIA) captured the dual, 48-7.
 
The Wildcats continue their string of road trips next weekend, heading north to Olympia, Washington, to face the Evergreen State Geoducks next Saturday.
