McMINNVILLE, Ore. --- Linfield men's wrestling closed out their final home dual of the season with a 32-20 win over Southwestern Oregon CC, honoring four Wildcat seniors on senior night.

Jacob Moore,
Julian Ortiz and
Alex Tapia were honored prior to the dual for their hard work and contributions to Linfield's newest varsity sport. The four were joined by their families and friends on the mat in front of the Wildcat faithful.

Jacob Moore started the evening at 125-pounds, earning a win in his final match inside Ted Wilson Gymnasium by pinning his opponent halfway through the first period.
Max Vander Meide followed suit with a huge win at 133-pounds, closing the match out in the final seconds of the second period, earning a 21-3 technical fall.

Dean Smith kept growing the Wildcats early lead in the team score, earning a narrow 7-5 decision to put the 'Cats up 20-0 thanks to a Laker forfeit. After Fermin Carillo came up short at 149-pounds,
Damon Gasilos answered back by pinning his opponent at the end of the first period in the 157-pound bout.

SWOCC fought back, defeating
Lucien Lefebvre in the 165-pound match, giving Linfield just a three-point lead with three matches to go.
Alex Tapia fell behind early in the 174-pound match, but never gave up in his final match of his career at home. Tapia battled back to pin his opponent late in the first, giving the Wildcats some insurance in the team score.

Trey Dieringer sealed the deal with an electric pin in the 184-pound match, also earning a pin and giving the 'Cats the dual win. Senior
Julian Ortiz closed out the night in a back-and-forth battle, ultimately falling in a 10-4 decision.

Linfield earned their third home dual win of the season, knocking off the Lakers, 32-20.

The Wildcats are back in action tomorrow afternoon, heading to Salem, Oregon, for a dual against the Corban Warriors beginning at 7 p.m.
