FOREST Grove, Ore. --- Linfield women's wrestling found success following Friday's Night at the Museum, where all four competing Wildcats placed in the Boxer Open hosted by Northwest Conference-rival Pacific University on Sunday.

Jessica Cottings competed at 103-pounds for Linfield, winning her first match by pinning her opponent just 47-seconds into the first round of the 103-pound bracket. Cottings dropped her next two matches via technical fall and fall, placing third individually.Â

Cadence Fineran also placed third in the 131-pound bracket, dominating to the tune of a 10-0 technical fall in the quarterfinal match. She was pinned late in her second match, but rebounded with a gritty 6-4 decision win over her opponent from the University of Washington in the consolation semifinal. In the third-place match, Fineran pinned her opponent from Barlow, to finish 2-2 on her way to a podium finish.

Cassidy Jones-Mowen controlled the pace in her first two matches at 138-pounds, pinning her opponents to put her in the championship bout. Jones-Mowen ran into a common opponent from Pacific, but fell short in a 8-4 decision, placing runner-up for the tournament.

Like the other three 'Cats,
Klaira Flatt cruised to an 18-8 tech fall win at 145-pounds, putting her in the semifinal match. Flatt was pinned in the second period, but bounced back with a 10-6 decision over Pacific, where she would ultimately come up short in the third-place match, placing fourth.

The 'Cats continue to improve as the season advances, looking to carry the momentum into the final dual at home this Friday.

The Wildcats host senior night this Friday inside Ted Wilson Gymnasium, taking on the Southwestern Oregon CC Lakers at 7 p.m., set to honor the first-ever Linfield Wrestling senior class.
