MCMINNVILLE, Ore. --- The reigning Northwest Conference Football champions earned a pair of national recognitions this week, as the American Football Coaches Association and D3Football.com named the Wildcats inside each of their preseason top-25 rankings.

Coming off of the program's 45th conference championship, the Wildcats find themselves entering the 2025 season tabbed as the No.15 (AFCA) and No.16 (D3Football.com) team in Division III. Going 10-2 and advancing to the third round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, Head Coach Joseph Smith and the Wildcats begin this year's campaign on September 6th, at the CatDome, hosting unranked UW-Oshkosh at 1 p.m. In both polls, the UW-Oshkosh Titans were among others receiving votes for the top-25 rankings.

Topping each poll, the North Central College Cardinals look to begin their title defense as the nation's top Division III team. Linfield will enjoy a six-game home schedule this season, hosting four of the first five games of the season; competing in Tacoma, Wash. a pair of times while also heading to Newberg, Ore. to take on George Fox.
