Linfield sophomore right-hander
Jake Swenson has been named to the D3baseball.com All-Region 10 Third Team following a breakout 2025 campaign.
Swenson served as the Wildcats' ace throughout the season, compiling a 6-5 record with a 3.76 ERA across 12 starts. In 76.2 innings pitched, the Camas, Washington, native allowed just 63 hits and 32 earned runs while striking out 94 batters, ranking first in the Northwest Conference.
He was especially dominant in a complete-game shutout against Pacific Lutheran on April 5, where he struck out a career-high and program record 17 batters and surrendered just two hits over nine innings. Swenson added a second dominant complete game on April 26 against Puget Sound, fanning 15 with no walks in a five-hit performance.
Opponents hit just .219 against Swenson in 2025. He finished the season with two complete games, two shutouts and 335 batters faced. Swenson recorded at least six strikeouts in nine of his 12 starts and logged two games with double-digit strikeouts.
His All-Region honor from D3baseball.com marks his first postseason recognition at the regional level and highlights his emergence as one of the top young arms in the West Region.
Swenson becomes the latest Wildcat pitcher to earn All-Region honors as the Wildcats transition into a new era with
Jordan Harlow taking over as head coach.
