Linfield tennis standouts
Emma Tuttle and
Alexander Rosenquist have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams, recognizing their excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
Tuttle, a senior biology major from Ridgefield, Washington, and Rosenquist, a junior economics major from Portland, Oregon, were selected for their outstanding academic achievements and contributions to their respective teams during the 2024-25 season.
The CSC Academic All-District honor celebrates student-athletes who have maintained a high academic standard while also competing on the court at a high level. Nominees must prove themselves athletically and hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Tuttle, a mainstay at the No. 1 singles position for the Linfield women's tennis team, posted key victories over opponents from Puget Sound, Willamette, and Puget Sound again in a thrilling three-set match. She also excelled in doubles play, teaming with
Kaitlynn Canubida for several wins, including a dominant 6-0 performance against Willamette.
Rosenquist, competing primarily at the No. 4 singles spot for the Wildcats men's team, secured notable wins against Puget Sound, Willamette, and Irvine Valley. His resilience was on display in a hard-fought three-set victory over Puget Sound's Carson Ward. In doubles, Rosenquist partnered with multiple teammates, contributing to wins against George Fox, Whitman, and Whitworth.
