Linfield football earned a pair of D3football.com All-Americans on Monday morning, with junior punter
Cade Johannsen headlining First Team honors for the Wildcats.

The national organization showcasing the best-of-the-best football student-athletes from Division III announced their annual All-American teams, featuring a pair of standout Wildcats for their impressive 2025 seasons.Â
Â
A native of Eugene, Oregon, junior punter
Cade Johannsen earned First Team All-American honors after averaging 44.8 yards per punt with 30 boots in 2025. Johannsen, a computer science major, is the son of Kimberly and Eric Johannsen. He pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line 12 times, and had 11 punts exceed 50 yards, with only three resulting in touchbacks. After earning his first First Team All-Region 6 honors from D3football.com a pair of weeks ago, he adds All-American to his already impressive resume as a Wildcat. Three punts short of meeting the national minimum for average punt yardage statistical rankings, his 44.8-yard average would have placed him second amongst Division III punters.Â

Junior defensive back
Kenyon Johnson also earned All-American honors from D3football.com on Monday, being named to the Third Team. A transfer from Southern Oregon University, Johnson hails from Vancouver, Washington, and has competed as a Wildcat for three seasons. In 2025, the exercise science major made 26 total tackles in eight games, picking three interceptions and breaking up nine passes, while recovering one fumble. The son of Melissa and Karl Johnson, the junior comes off of earning First Team All-Region 6 honors and All-Northwest Conference honors.

The Wildcats football team finished the 2025 season with a 7-2 overall record and 6-1 record in NWC play, finishing second in the conference.
