Against Northwest Conference foe, Pacific University, Linfield grabbed three wins in the four matches that they competed in. Freshman

Cadence Fineran also won her match at 131-pounds, swiftly pinning her opponent from Pacific just 27-seconds in the opening round. Jones-Mowen competed in her second of three matches for the day, rebounding with a pin in just 78-seconds, making the deficit 15-14 in favor of the Boxers. Following a pair of forfeits, Perez-Diaz fell against her second opponent of the day via a pin in the first period. Pacific went on to win the dual 30-14 with the majority of their points coming from forfeited matches.
Â
Five more matches, this time against the host, Treasure Valley CC resulted in three more wins for the 'Cats on Sunday. TVCC would take the dual 36-12 thanks to forfeits, but Fineran and Jones-Mowen bounced back with their second wins of the day. Cottings finished the day 1-1, coming up short in a 10-0 tech fall at 103-pounds to start the dual. Fineran made quick work to move to 2-0 on the day with another pin inside the first 35 seconds at 131-pounds. Jones-Mowen was one of two 'Cats to compete in all three duals, with a 14-4 tech fall in her final match she improved her record going 2-1 for the day.Â
Â
Flatt also bounced back to earn a 1-1 record on Sunday, fighting hard to earn a 9-4 decision at 160-pounds. Perez-Diaz capped off the dual meets in her third and final match of the day, falling at the 2:08 mark of the first period.Â
Â
"This was a very productive trip for our team, they continue to get better each meet." Said head coach
Frank Johnson following the duals.
Â
"Jessica [Cottings] is getting to her offense and becoming strong while on top. Cadence [Fineran] had a great day and is starting to wrestle to her strengths, she is incredibly strong and explosive. Cassidy [Jones-Mowen] showed grit today, battling a stoppage in her second match of the day, still choosing to finish out the match. Overall, the girls won more matches than they lost today and they're continuing to do the things we work to improve on."
Â
The Wildcats pick right back up in just a few short days, heading to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the annual Desert Duals tournament set to begin on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
