Recent Linfield University graduate
Sarah Forester has been appointed to the prestigious College Sports Communicators Academic All-America team for a second straight year. She received CSC Academic All-America second team honors after being named to the third team a year ago.
Forester becomes just the second Linfield student-athlete to earn Academic All-America acclaim in consecutive seasons, joining baseball's Nick Fisher, who achieved the feat a decade ago in 2013 and 2024.
The Corvallis, Oregon, resident recently completed a Linfield bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology, graduating with a perfect 4.00 grade point average. She is among a select list of 17 Women's Tennis CSC Academic All-Americans, most of whom hail from prestigious academic institutions such as Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago, Case Western Reserve, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Carnegie Mellon.
A four-year member of the Linfield women's tennis team and 2024 team captain, Forester competed at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles throughout her senior campaign.
Forester's academic accomplishments include receiving the 2021 Outstanding Linfield Freshman in Chemistry Award. She was a two-time recipient of the Erickson-Cole Endowed Scholarship and earned the 2021 Good Samaritan Virginia Welch Scholarship.
Since receiving top honors the Linfield Commencement ceremony last month, Forester has enrolled in the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy, considered perhaps the nation's leading pharmocology program.
The CSC Academic All-America awards are nominated by and voted upon by members of the Collegiate Sports Communicators organization.
