In his final season playing for the Linfield football team,
Connor McNabb will go out in style as he earns the 2023-24 Male Athlete of the Year award.
Â
A staple of the Linfield offense, McNabb secured his third first-team All-Northwest Conference accolade in his senior season. The Scappoose, Ore., native racked up 724 rushing yards, five rushing touchdowns, 226 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns in 2023.
Â
McNabb averaged over 25 receiving yards per game and 79 rushing yards per game. He earned NWC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career following a two-touchdown performance at George Fox on Oct. 29.
Â
McNabb was named the Linfield football program's 2023 Most Valuable Player, and earned the Best Offensive Player award on two occasions. He helped power the offense to a Northwest Conference-best 41.8 points per game and 456.8 yards per game.
Â
The senior was one-third of Linfield's "triplets" with the trio of McNabb,
Colton Smith and
Devon Murray, accounting for 48 percent of the team's 2023 offensive production. The three standouts helped Linfield achieve a 44-7 win-loss record across their five seasons in the program while leading the Wildcats to three conference championships.
Â
McNabb's name is prominent throughout the Linfield career record book. He ranks among the top 10 in rushing yards (2,252), rushing TDs (24), average per carry (5.68), all-purpose yards (3,357), and carries (396).
