CSC Academic All-District

Wildcats land four on CSC Academic All-District team

Four Linfield University women's basketball players earned College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District honors in a release announced last week. Kaylee Schow, Peyton Bergevin, Miki Vermeulen and Amelia Solt were recognized for their efforts not only on the court but in the classroom. Schow and Pergevin earned their selections to All-District honors.

Vermeulen led the Linfield in minutes played last season with 782. She was second on the team in total blocks (18) and ranked among the Northwest Conference leaders in total rebounds with 212.

Bergevin, Schow and Solt were key contributors off the bench for the Wildcats. The trio played in all 25 contests and saw eight or more minutes a game. Solt was second on the team in three-pointers with 25 and was the fifth-leading scorer with 6.2 points per game.

Schow finished with a season-high six points and five rebounds in the Wildcats' second game of the season against Bushnell. Bergevin's season high came on Senior Night against George Fox where she finished with a team-high 12 points.

The four Linfield selections were a part of 27 total NWC athletes. The honorees will advance to the Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-Americans will be announced by the CSC in later this month.
