Linfield to play first 10-game football schedule in 2024

The first 10-game football schedule in Linfield history awaits the Wildcats in 2024.

Coach Joseph Smith announced a challenging upcoming slate of games, which for the first time in the NCAA era includes three out-of-conference matchups.

Linfield begins its quest for a 68th consecutive winning season at home Sept. 7 versus Denison. The Wildcats defeated the Big Red 28-14 in the 2023 opener last fall.

After hosting Denison, the 'Cats head to the upper Midwest to where they will face a strong challenge from Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Sept. 14. It will be the second meeting all-time versus the Titans, who played in McMinnville during the quarterfinals of the 2012 NCAA Division III playoffs.

Linfield returns home to Maxwell Field on Sept. 21 to host Southern California Intercollegiate Athletics Conference stalwart Redlands..

After a weekend off, Linfield dives into Northwest Conference play on Oct. 5 when the 'Cats visit Willamette. Linfield hosts Lewis & Clark for the Oct. 12 Homecoming game before taking on Yamhill County rival George Fox in Newberg on Oct. 19.

Linfield welcomes Puget Sound to town on Oct. 26, part of the annual Fall Family Weekend celebration.

The Wildcats play two of their final three regular-season contests on the road, starting Nov. 2 at Pacific. Longtime football nemisis Pacific Lutheran comes to McMinnville on Nov. 9 for the annual Pacific Office Automation Hall of Fame Game.

Linfield then squares off against defending NWC champion Whitworth in Spokane on Nov. 16.

Each of Linfield's five home games are scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m., though game times are subject to change.
