Football Playoffs UMHB 2024

Linfield to host UMHB in third round NCAA playoff game

The Linfield Wildcats will host the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in a third-round playoff game on Saturday, December 7, at noon PST. The NCAA Division III football committee on Sunday confirmed Linfield's Maxwell Field as one of eight host sites.

The Wildcats (10-1) and Cru (7-3) meet for the 10th time in their storied football history but are squaring off for the first time since 2021. The winner advances to the regional finals to face the winner of a third-round game between Johns Hopkins (Maryland) and DePauw (Indiana) on Saturday, Dec. 14.

Linfield defeated Texas Lutheran 65-3 in a second-round game on Saturday while Mary Hardin-Baylor knocked of unbeaten Hardin-Simmons 17-13 in Abilene, Texas, to advance to this week's third-round contest.
