Keppo, Arpag and Postlewait pace Linfeld in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Kirsti Keppo won three individual women's event, highlighting the list of performances by the Linfield Wildcats Saturday in a Northwest Conference dual meet at the Whitworth pool.
 
The Whitworth men handed the Linfield men their first dual-meet setback of the season, winning 136-64. The loss dropped the men's squad to 3-1 in NWC dual meets.

The Pirate women, despite Keppo's three victories, prevailed for the Wildcat women by a 130-73 count, evening the Wildcat women's dual meet record at 2-2.

WOMEN
Keppo displayed her dominance for the second straight day, powering to a 10-second victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle. She also locked up comfortable wins in the 200 freestyle (2:02.28) and the 500 freestyle (5:27.76) to finish 6-0 in individual races for the week.
 
Sarah Arpag turned in a winning effort in the 200 butterfly, winning by over five seconds (2:18.10) and was second in the 200 backstroke (2:17.49).
 
Lauren Bobo-Shishler was runner-up in the 200 freestyle (2:03.25)
 
MEN
Highlighting the men's results was Sam Postlewait's triumph in the 200 backstroke (2:02.47).
 
Rocco Velie earned a runner-up finish in the 200 individual medley (2:00.22).
 
AHEAD
With three NWC dual meets now behind them, the Wildcats are idle for four weeks in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday and fall term finals. Linfield's next competition is Dec. 16-18 when the 'Cats head to Las Vegas to race in the UNLV Invitational.
