The forecast of inclement winter weather has caused the Linfield women's wrestling team to cancel its planned trip to Redmond, Oregon, to compete in the Oregon Wrestling Classic on Saturday.

The tournament will continue as scheduled, but Linfield coach Frank Johnson advised he will not take the risk of traveling through the Columbia Gorge or traversing the Cascade mountain passes in potentially harsh conditions.

Linfield's next scheduled competition is Tuesday, Jan. 16, when the Wildcats host Umpqua Community College in a special "Night at the Museum" event hosted by McMinnville's Evergreen Space Museum. Start time is set for 7 p.m.
