Gavin Dalziel was named Northwest Conference football Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week, marking the second time in as many weeks a Linfield football player has been awarded the honor.

Dalziel was perfect on both extra-point attempts and crushed a career-long 51-yard field goal that helped the Wildcats to a 17-10 road victory over Redlands on Sept. 16.

The senior from Brier, Wash., is one of two Linfield kickers ever to have made multiple field goals over 50 yards in their career.

Dalziel currently holds the longest-made field goal in Division III so far this season.

Linfield is ranked No. 9 in the latest D3football.com poll and returns to the field on Sept. 30 for the home opener against Willamette.
