THE RECORDS
Linfield and Puget Sound are both back in action following a week of postponements. The Wildcats are just under the .500 mark with a 4-5 overall record, including a 2-1 record in Northwest Conference play. The Loggers enter the week at 7-3 overall with a 1-2 NWC mark.

The Wildcats' home NWC series against Pacific Lutheran was postponed due to snow. They were also supposed to play a non-conference game against Corban last week.
Jake Hoskins is leading all qualified Linfield players with a .421 batting average, a .500 on-base percentage, 16 hits and 10 runs. Hoskins and
Nick Holm both have two home runs on the year. Holm also leads the 'Cats with nine RBI.
Cameron Skinner has started in all nine games as the designated hitter, leading the way with four doubles.
Casey Struckmeier is 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA. He logged his first collegiate start at George Fox, tossing five strong innings and allowing just one run on four hits.
Jackson Koons is 1-1 in three starts while
Skyler Manelski owns a 1.69 ERA in four relief appearances.
PUGET SOUND AT A GLANCE
The Loggers won six of seven games on their California road trip to open the 2023 season. They dropped two of three games to Whitman at home to begin NWC play. They were scheduled to play at Lewis & Clark last week before the series got postponed due to weather.
Makana Murashige is batting .488 with 21 hits, 10 runs, three doubles, two home runs and 16 RBI. Dylan Joyce also has 16 RBI to lead the team. He already has four homers this season. The Logger starting pitching is off to a strong start. Brett Harvey is 3-0 with a 3.06 ERA. Davis Franklin is 2-1 on the mound and leads the Loggers with 22 strikeouts.
THE SERIES
Linfield owns the all-time series with Puget Sound, dominating the Loggers with a 66-23 record. The Wildcats are 28-13 in Tacoma and are averaging 8.6 runs per game. The Loggers upset the 'Cats in 2022, winning two of three games in McMinnville.
