Tabor and Rybar

Rybar, Tabor named D3football.com fourth-team All-Americans

Linfield University football players Blake Rybar and Thomas Tabor were named D3football.com fourth-team All-Americans in a release on Friday.

The Monroe, Wash., native has been named to D3football.com's All-American list in back-to-back seasons. Rybar was named AFCA first-team All-American and earned Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons. He became the first defensive player to win the award in consecutive seasons since Alex Hoff in 2014-2015.

Rybar is the 24th all-time multi-All-American in program history. The senior compiled 46 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 6.5 tackles for loss and an interception in the 2023 season. He captained the Linfield defense which gave up the least amount of points in the NWC at 16 points per game.

Tabor owns the all-time Linfield career punting average record at 43.5 yards per punt and was selected to All-Region 6 first-team. Tabor also earned a second-team All-NWC selection and his first NWC Special Team Student-Athlete of the Week in September.

The Wildcats have had an All-American in every season dating back to 2007.
