McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield wrestlers recorded six pins in their home-opening match, helping the Wildcats forge a dual-meet split with the Pacific Boxers Thursday night at Ted Wilson Gym.
 
The Pacific men defeated host Linfield 34-24 in the final point standings. On the strength of a pins by Wildcats Kelsie Rush at 118 pounds and Ayana Medina in the 170-pound match, Linfield edge Pacific 20-18.
 
MEN
In the 165-pound match, Jakob Jarvis rallied from a 10-3 deficit for a victory over Pacific's Olauwon Sobomehin, pinning his Boxers counterpart at the 4:40 mark.
 
At 184 pounds, Linfield frosh Ethan Ensrud pinned Francisco Endi in a quick 2:23.

At 197 pounds, Darrius Walker of Linfield pinned Romeo Hernandez in 3:48.
 
At 285, Jacob Barnes scored a pin over the Boxers' Jimmy Green, winning in 1:13.

The Linfield men outscored Pacific 24-22 in matches wrestled but two Wildcat forfeits decided the match in the Boxers' favor.
 
WOMEN
Rush, a Wildcats freshman, prevailed in her collegiate match, pinning the Boxers' Aurora Rager in 2:40 at 116 pounds.
 
At 170 pounds, Medina pinned Pacific's Sofia Aragon in fast 50 seconds.
 
In other bouts, Audrey Diaz of Pacific held Linfield's Emily Sullenger scoreless, winning 4-0. And Paige Beals of Pacific secured a pin over newcomer Katelyn Cederburg at the 2:14 mark of the 155-pound match.

Both squads head to Spokane, Washington, on Saturday to compete in the Spokane Open. Action starts at 9:15 a.m.
