Linfield opens the Northwest Conference portion of its schedule with a 4-2 record. Willamette rolls into NWC play at 1-5 after playing in two tournaments to open the season. Lewis & Clark is off to a 1-4 start to the season, its only win coming in a sweep of Hollins University.
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats went 3-1 at the Pacific Coast Classic in California, picking up wins over New England College, Whittier and Redlands. They extended their win streak to three matches with a sweep of Austin College at the Oregon Trail Classic in Forest Grove before falling to UC Santa Cruz to close the tournament.
Raelynn Hammock is on pace for another stellar season, opening the season with four kills per set and a .275 hitting percentage.
Marina Erosa has been a solid No. 2 option on the outside so far with 54 kills, 2.57 per set.
Ellie Mead owns a team-leading 21 blocks while
Paige Richards has 80 digs. With added depth at the net,
Aylea Dixon has thrived at the setter position with 8.32 assists per set.

WILLAMETTE AT A GLANCE
The Bearcats have won a combined three sets in their first six matches. They went 0-4 at a loaded St. Thomas (Texas) Tournament before splitting their two matches at Pacific's Oregon Trail Classic. The one win came in a straight set victory over Austin College, a team Linfield also swept. Olivia Cadien has provided much of the offensive power, totaling 60 kills and 2.86 kills per set. Emma Porter has dished out 6.24 assists per set while Shyla Sato has a team-leading 116 digs. Kaitlyn Westby leads the Bearcats with 14 blocks.
LEWIS & CLARK AT A GLANCE
The Pioneers are averaging 8.9 kills, 8.1 assists and 17.2 digs per set. Ellie Weber leads the way with 27 kills and 2.25 kills per set. She opened the season with 10 kills against Hollins. Izzy Willis is right behind Weber with 24 kills while Debi Chun has 22. Kelsie Nakashima has dished out 60 assists to lead the team. Katie Shimaura owns a team-leading 57 digs.
HISTORY
Linfield owns an all-time record of 26-33 against Willamette. The Wildcats are 13-14 at home against the Bearcats. The Bearcats have won nine straight matches in the series, including the most recent meeting, a 3-1 win in McMinnville on Oct. 13, 2021. The last time Linfield beat Willamette was on Sept. 15, 2017, a match that ended in a sweep of the Bearcats.
Linfield is 42-16 against Lewis & Clark in the all-time series. The longest win streak for the Wildcats was 29 matches between the 1995 and 2007 seasons. The Wildcats are 22-6 at home against the Pios. The last meeting ended in a 3-1 Linfield win at Ted Wilson Gymnasium on Oct. 29, 2021. It was the Wildcats' only NWC win of the season.
