Linfield announces 2022 volleyball schedule

Linfield volleyball has released its schedule for the 2022 season. The slate includes 23 matches, nine of which take place at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.

The season opens with four matches at the Pacific Coast Classic. Linfield begins the 2022 campaign with a doubleheader on Sept. 2 against New England and La Verne at the Leopards' Sports Science and Athletics Pavilion. Another two-match day awaits the Wildcats on Sept. 3 with matches against Whittier and Redlands in Claremont, California.

Linfield will play Austin College on Sept. 9 and UC-Santa Cruz on Sept. 10 at the Oregon Trail Classic, hosted by Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

The Wildcats open Northwest Conference play at home, hosting in-state foes, Willamette and Lewis & Clark, on Sept. 16 and 17, respectively. They will then host Division II Saint Martin's on Sept. 20 before wrapping up a four-match homestand against Pacific Lutheran on Sept. 23.

Linfield will play seven of its next eight matches on the road, the one home match in the stretch coming on Oct. 1 against Puget Sound. The 'Cats will play at George Fox (Sept. 24), Pacific (Sept. 28), Whitman (Oct. 7), Whitworth (Oct. 8), Willamette (Oct. 14), Lewis & Clark (Oct. 15) and Pacific Lutheran (Oct. 21) during that span.

The 'Cats return to TWG on Oct. 22, hosting cross-county rival George Fox on Nursing School Matriculation Night. They will continue the second half of NWC play with a Wednesday-night meeting with Pacific on Oct. 26 in McMinnville. Their final road match is against Puget Sound on Oct. 29.

Senior Night for Linfield volleyball is scheduled for Nov. 4 against Whitman. The 'Cats close their season against Whitworth at home on Nov. 5.

Linfield looks to improve in 2022 in Haley Domeck's third season as head coach. The 2021 season was Domeck's first full slate at the helm due to an abbreviated COVID-19 season during the 2020-21 academic year.
