VB Team Academic Award

Linfield volleyball receives USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

Continuing a culture of excellence in the classroom, Linfield volleyball earned the United States Marine Corps (USMC)/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 school year.

"I'm proud of the student-athletes in the volleyball program," head coach Haley Domeck said. "They have worked hard both on and off the court. Their dedication in the classroom is one aspect of our program that I'm proud of."

The award, which started in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintained a yearlong GPA of 3.3 or better on a 4.0 scale. Linfield is one of 1,213 programs across the collegiate and high school volleyball landscape to earn the award. The Wildcats are among 212 teams from Division III on the list.

"The hard work that our athletes display in the classroom will take them far in their careers and is a great example of our incoming athletes as well," Domeck said.

This is the fifth time that Linfield volleyball has earned the Team Academic Award, which includes four straight honors dating back to 2019. Domeck saw six of her players land on the Dean's List in the fall while 11 players earned the honor in the spring.
