Linfield takes second at two-team Spring Trilogy 3

KEIZER, Ore. – Three players tied for eighth place as Linfield men's golf placed second in a two-team contest at the Spring Trilogy 3, hosted by Willamette Sunday at the McNary Golf Club.
 
Willamette took the team title home with a final team score of 296. Linfield finished at 328 in the single-round event. Lewis & Clark had three players competing as individuals.
 
Alexandre Collard, Bryce Hatcher and Trevor Price all tied for eighth place with scores of 10-over-par 80 on the par-70 course. Collard and Price were both competing as individuals. Riley Lynch and Grant Moen tied for 11th place at 82 while Jackson Bensel and Chris Cayford each carded 84 to tie for 13th place with the Bearcats' Aunders Erickson.
 
The top seven golfers all came from the host Bearcats. Austin Davis took the individual title with a score of 1-under-par 69. Andrew Kibbee finished four strokes back of Davis to place second at 3-over-par 73 while Alex Weirth was third at 6-over-par 76.
 
NEXT
The Wildcats will take on the Pacific Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Oregon. They will then head to Tacoma, Washington, for the Northwest Conference Spring Classic on April 9-10 at the Oakbrook Golf Club.
