MOORPARK, Calif. – All four scoring players finished in a row as the Linfield men's golf team placed ninth at the Cal Lutheran Kingsmen Invitational Monday and Tuesday at the Moorpark Country Club.

Linfield finished the first round with a 327 before improving to 314 in the second round for a final team score of 641. It was the first tournament for the Wildcats since the Willamette Spring Trilogy #1 on March 5.

Sophomores
Chris Cayford,
Riley Lynch and
Trevor Price finished in a four-way tie for 37
th place with Westmont's Brock Yurkovich with scores of 160. Cayford and Lynch both carded 10-over-par 82 in the first round before shooting 6-over-par 78 in the second round. Price's outing included a 5-over-par 77 on Monday.

Junior
Ahron Abraham finished right behind the sophomore trio in a four-way tie for 41
st place at 161. He fell behind on Monday with an 86 before carding 3-over-par 75 on Tuesday, marking the best individual round for the 'Cats in the tournament.

Occidental took the team title with a two-round score of 598, one stroke ahead of second-place La Verne. Whittier's Cort Benner turned in a 2-under-par 70 in each round to top the individual leaderboard at 4-under-par 140.

The 'Cats will continue their season at the Spring Challenge #2, hosted by Willamette on April 2 at the McNary Golf Club in Keizer, Oregon.
