Linfield University is no longer requiring spectators attending home athletic events to provide proof of vaccinations and is no longer requiring protective masks to be worn during outdoor sports events.
 
The new policy is effective February 17, 2022.
 
The relaxed policy falls in line with the current outdoor sports spectator policies of many institutions within the Northwest Conference and within the State of Oregon.
 
Linfield's indoor spectator policy, which requires vaccinations and masks, remains unchanged. This includes not only the winter sports of basketball and swimming, but also indoor tennis matches played inside the Rutschman Field House.
