McMINNVILLE, Ore. - The Linfield men's golf team had a solid showing on its home course this weekend, finishing third of seven teams competing at the 43-player Linfield Fall Invitational at Michelbook Country Club.

The Wildcats shot 318 as a team on Saturday but improved by 13 strokes to 305 on Sunday. Their total score of 623 was third to team champion Willamette (581) and second-place George Fox (612).

Sophomore
Riley Lynch led the 'Cats, shooting 153 and finishing tied for seventh place. Sophomore
Trevor Price and freshman
Grant Moen followed Lynch as the next two lowest-scoring 'Cats, each shooting 156 to tie for 12
th. Moen shot 78 on both days while Price dropped from an 81 on Saturday to a 75 on Sunday. Lynch and Price's Sunday scores of 75 were the best single-round scores for the 'Cats and were top-five scores on the day.

Chris Cayford posted scores of 81 and 77 for a total of 158, tying for 15
th place with freshman
Alexandre Collard, who was competing as an individual. Collard improved from 82 on Saturday to 76 on Sunday. Sophomore
Bryce Hatcher tied for 22
nd with a score of 163, shooting 82 on Saturday and 81 on Sunday.

Ahron Abraham and freshmen
Jackson Bensel and
Dylan Wilcox also competed as individuals for the 'Cats. Bensel shot 165 to finish tied for 25
th, Abraham shot 166 to finish 28
th and Wilcox shot 175 to finish 33

The Wildcats compete again next weekend in the George Fox Invitational at the Gearhart Golf Links in Gearhart, Oregon, before ending the fall season at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic on Oct. 9-10 at the Quail Valley Golf Course in Banks, Oregon.
