Second-year coach
Haley Doerfler on Monday announced five additions to the Linfield University volleyball program as part of the 2021 recruiting class.

All five have been accepted into the university and paid their matriculation fee. Two come from Idaho, while one each comes from Colorado, Oregon and Washington. This is the first full class recruited by Doerfler.

MORGAN BAKER
OH/MB • 5-9
Hood River, Oregon • Hood River Valley High School
- Eight-time letter winner in softball, volleyball and basketball.
- Honorable mention all-IMC in volleyball.
- Team MVP in basketball and volleyball.
- Honor roll recipient.
- Intends to major in nursing.
WHY LINFIELD? "I chose to attend Linfield because they have a great nursing program and attending a D-III school allows me to further my education and play the sport I love."

Coach Doerfler's thoughts: "Morgan is a strong student-athlete who brings a lot of athleticism to the program. Her ability to move the ball around and see the court will help her succeed at the college level."

BROOKLIN CHAMPION
OH • 6-0
Boise, Idaho • Centennial High School
- Eight-time letter winner in softball, volleyball and basketball.
- Named 2021 first-team all-Southern Idaho Conference in softball.
- Two-time second-team all-SIC.
- Team captain.
- Three-time team MVP.
- Idaho Statesman Athlete of the Week.
- Four-time honor roll recipient.
- National Honor Society member.
- Graduated with high honors.
- Four-time SIC All-Academic team honoree.
- State Academic Champions as a team in 2020.
- Intends to major in exercise science.
- Will also play softball at Linfield.
WHY LINFIELD? "I chose to attend Linfield because I wanted to play two sports that I love while receiving a quality education."

Coach Doerfler's thoughts: "Brooklin is a talented athlete who will be competing in two different programs here at Linfield. Her jumping ability makes her an offensive threat at the net. As a coaching staff, we are looking forward to watching Brooklin develop into a powerful pin hitter."

Highlands Ranch, Colorado • Rock Canyon High School
- Letter winner.
- First-team all-state academic team.
- Received high academic honor roll distinction.
- Named World Language Student of the Year.
- FCA President.
- Community service letter winner.
- Intends to major in exercise science.
WHY LINFIELD? "I chose to attend Linfield because I wanted a smaller school with emphasis on academics and athletics. The opportunity to pursue my passions while playing volleyball drew me in. I felt welcomed by all the staff and coaches and thought the campus was beautiful."

Coach Doerfler's thoughts: "Terra comes to Linfield from a high-level club program in Colorado. She brings ball control and a never-quit attitude. She is someone that we are looking forward to seeing how her ball control can have an impact on the program."

Hailey, Idaho • Wood River High School
- Three-time letter winner in volleyball and basketball.
- Team captain.
- Voted Most Improved Player.
- Four-time honor roll recipient.
- Member of Dual Immersion program from K-12.
- Major is undecided.
WHY LINFIELD? "I chose Linfield because of the opportunities that a liberal arts college offers as I make decisions about my education and career choices. I look forward to small classes and knowing my professors and classmates. I know athletics are well-supported at Linfield and look forward being well-supported in that realm as well."

Arlington, Washington • Arlington High School
- Three-time letter winner.
- Two-time all-Wesco honorable mention.
- Team captain.
- Placed sixth as a team at the 2019 3A State Tournament.
- Class Valedictorian.
- National Honor Society member.
- ASB Treasurer.
- Senior class officer.
- Intends to major in exercise science.
WHY LINFIELD? "Linfield was at the top of my list for many reasons. From the moment I visited the campus, it felt like it was exactly where I was meant to be. The environment is so positive and encouraging and it shows, not just in the people but in the academics. The student-to-teacher ratio was important to me since my field of study is so competitive. It also has really strong programs for all the careers I want to look into. On top of that, I had the opportunity to play volleyball which sold me."

Coach Doerfler's thoughts: "Paige is a strong defensive specialist/libero from the Seattle area. She plays for a high-level club where she has developed strong passing technique and a quiet platform on serve receive."
