Wildcats fall in the season finale to the Boxers

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The shortened 2021 season came to an end on Saturday at Stoller Center for the Linfield Wildcats, who fell 73-67 to the Pacific Boxers.
 
In her final collegiate game, Shasta Lofgren had 19 points on 8 for 15 shooting and 13 rebounds. She finishes the season scoring 12.5 points per game, which is fifth in the Northwest Conference and averaging nine rebounds per game, which leads the NWC.
 
Linfield led 10-9 after the first quarter, but got outscored 28-16 in the second quarter. Brilie Kovaloff had 28 points for Pacific. Sydney Gray had 15 points and seven rebounds. The Wildcats outscored the Boxers, 25-17 in the fourth quarter but were handed their 10th loss of the season.
 
Four of the five starters for the Wildcats scored in double figures. Maggie Smith had 13 points and three rebounds, Alexis Heald had 12 points and Delaney Ragan had 10 points and six rebounds.
 
Linfield shot 47.4 percent from the field, while Pacific shot 45.6 percent.
 
Playing her final game as well, Jordyn Feinauer had four assists. She finishes her career with 309 points, 115 assists and 71 3-pointers made. The Hillsboro, Oregon, native started 52 games in her career.
 
Lofgren played just two seasons at Linfield after spending her first two seasons at Warner Pacific and Lower Columbia Community College. In the two seasons, the Chehalis, Washington, native scored 287 points and 147 rebounds, starting every game this season.
 
Saturday's game was also the final collegiate game for Cami Reuter, who missed the final two seasons of her career due to knee injuries. In her first two seasons, she scored 254 points, had 92 assists and 45 steals. The Sherwood, Oregon, native started 26 of the 38 games she appeared in.
 
The Wildcats finish the season with a record of 1-11.
