Wildcats and the Boxers square off in season finale

GAME PREVIEW

The Linfield University basketball teams end their shortened 2021 season this weekend against Pacific. The Wildcats are at home on Friday against the Boxers with the women's game starting at 6 p.m. and in Forest Grove on Saturday, the women's game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. The men's game will start about 25 minutes after the completion of the women's game.  
 
SENIOR NIGHT
Prior to Friday's game, the Linfield women will honor graduating seniors Jordyn Feinauer, Shasta Lofgren and Cami Reuter with a special ceremony.
 
The Wildcats men are set to honor graduating seniors Will Burghardt and Matt Berger with a pregame ceremony. Seniors Max Lommen and Dempsey Roggenbuck expect to return to Linfield next season for their fifth years.

Linfield is providing live video and live statistics for the games on Friday. Pacific is doing the same for the games on Saturday.
 
THE WILDCATS WOMEN
Linfield is 1-9 this season and coming off non-conference losses to Bushnell and Corban. Linfield's lone win this season was a 52-50 home-floor victory over the Boxers on April 2.
 
Delaney Ragan hit the game-winning shot in that game. She is scoring 11.9 points per game while averaging 4.3 rebounds and two steals per game. Shasta Lofgren is scoring 12.1 points per game and ranks second in the Northwest Conference with an average of 7.4 rebounds per game.
 
Alexis Heald is third on the team in scoring at 7.4 points per game. As a team, Linfield is scoring 59.3 points per game and averaging 12.5 rebounds per game.
 
The Wildcats are 8-2 in their last 10 head-to-head matchups against the Boxers and hold the 39-37 edge in the all-time series.
 
THE LINFIELD MEN
Coming off two wins over Willamette, Linfield is 9-1 and scoring 98.6 points per game, which is second among all NCAA Division III programs. The Wildcats captured the first two games versus the Boxers earlier this season, winning 111-97 at home and 105-87 in Forest Grove.
 
Linfield is third in NCAA Division III with 22.2 assists per game and its 55.8 field goal percentage leads the country. Dempsey Roggenbuck is scoring 29.6 points per game, which leads the NWC and is second in the country.
 
Max Lommen improved his scoring average to 15.6, which is seventh in the country. Roggenbuck leads the NWC with a 64.0 field goal percentage, Will Burghardt and Lommen are tied for second with a 57.7 field goal percentage.
 
Aaron Baune is averaging 7.1 rebounds per game, which is fourth in the NWC. Matt Berger is seventh with 6.2 rebounds per game.
 
Linfield has won seven straight meetings over Pacific and leads the all-time series 71-36.
 
THE BOXERS WOMEN
Pacific is 2-3 this spring. It is playing Warner Pacific earlier this week prior to playing Linfield. The Boxers won 72-68 at home against the Wildcats on April 3.
 
The Boxers are home to two of the Northwest Conference's top-four scorers. Brillie Kovaloff is third with a scoring average of 15.3, Camy Aguinaldo is fourth with an average of 14 points per game. Sydney Gray is eighth in the NWC with six rebounds per game. Riley Price is averaging 3.3 assists per game, which is fourth.
 
In five outings, the Boxers are averaging 59 points, 34 rebounds and 11 assists.
 
THE PACIFIC MEN
The Boxers are 2-6 this spring and have lost six straight games. Pacific is scoring 91.4 points per game while averaging 39.9 rebounds and 18.1 assists per game.
 
Playing their traditional fast-paced style, the Boxers are forcing 18.8 turnovers per game, but also allowing 103.3 points per game. 
 
Colin Rardin is scoring 12.9 points per game, which leads the team, Ethan Moss is second at 12.0, and Brennan McNabb is third with a scoring average of 11.6. Rardin is grabbing 6.5 rebounds per game, while Moss is averaging 3.1 assists per game.
