The Linfield University basketball teams resumes the Northwest Conference portion of their schedule against Pacific this weekend. The teams are in McMinnville on Friday and in Forest Grove on Saturday.
The women start the day on Friday at 6 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, the men follow shortly after.

THE WILDCATS WOMEN
Linfield is 0-4 thus far this season, losing to Warner Pacific and George Fox. The Wildcats suffered a narrow 72-70 defeat to the Knights in their last game. They are averaging 59.8 points and 30.3 rebounds per game.
Delaney Ragan scored 39 points in two games against Warner Pacific. The junior guard is the team's leading scorer with an average of 13, which ranks fifth in the NWC.
Shasta Lofgren is averaging 9.5 points per game and is second in the conference with 7.5 rebounds.
Paige LaFountain leads the team with 3.5 assists per game and is second with 4.8 rebounds per game. Linfield has 36 steals this season, eight coming from
Brooke Landis.
Alexis Heald netted a career high 16 points on Saturday.
Both teams successfully defended their home court last season. The Boxers won 68-64 on January 3, 2020, and Wildcats won 61-56 on February 1, 2020. Linfield is 38-36 all-time against Pacific and has won eight of the last 10.
THE LINFIELD MEN
The Wildcats are 3-1 this season and scoring 98.3 points per game on a field-goal percentage of 55.6. Linfield hit a program-record 20 three-pointers in Friday's win.
The conference's leading scorer,
Dempsey Roggenbuck, is scoring 28.5 points per game and connected on the game-winning shot in the 79-78 win over the Knights on Saturday.
Max Lommen and
Will Burghardt are averaging 14.5 points per game, which is tied for second on the team.
Aaron Baune is third with 13.5.
Matt Berger leads the team with 6.3 rebounds per game. Baune (5.5), Lommen (5.0) and Roggenbuck (4.0) round out the top-four rebounders. Lommen has an outstanding field goal percentage of .639 and Roggenbuck is shooting .618.
The Wildcats won by two points in the first meeting of the 2019-20 season. The Wildcats coasted to a 116-87 victory in the second meeting and have won five straight over the Boxers. Linfield lead the all-time series with Pacific, 69-36.
THE BOXERS WOMEN
Pacific is fresh off a 66-60 loss to George Fox this past Saturday. The Bruins defeated the Boxers, 70-48, in the Boxers' first game of the season.
Two of the top four scorers in the NWC are Boxers. Brillie Kovaloff is third with 14.5 points per game and Camy Aguinaldo is fourth at 14.0. Riley Price had a 33.3 three-point percentage this past weekend. As a team, Pacific averaged 29.5 rebounds per game and 10 assists per game last weekend.
THE PACIFIC MEN
The Boxers swept the series over the Bruins last week. They won 112-98 at home and escaped with a 106-105 win in Newberg. Ethan Moss had 15.5 points per game over the weekend and hit the game-winning layup with a second left on Saturday night, he shot 57.1 percent from the field.
Colin Rardin is second on the team, scoring 13 points per game. He averaged seven rebounds per game in the two games. Moss leads the team with four assists per game and is coming away with two steals per game. Shawn Cotton Jr. is averaging 11 points per game.
