Linfield takes on Pacific for a home-and-home series

The Linfield volleyball team heads to Forest Grove to take on the Pacific Boxers on Thursday night and host the Boxers at Ted Wilson Gym on Friday night. Start times for both matches is 6 p.m.
 
The Wildcats are 0-2 on the young season. The Boxers, who finished second in the Northwest Conference in 2019, are 3-0 to start 2021.

For Thursday's match, Pacific will provide live statistics and live video. Live Statistics is available for Friday's match as well as a video webcast produced by the Linfield Sports Network with Joe Stuart on the call.
 
LINFIELD
The Wildcats played four sets in each of its two losses to Lewis & Clark Pioneers. The 'Cats averaged 10.13 kills and 16.50 digs per set in the first two matches under new coach Haley Doerfler.
 
Raelynn Hammock leads the conference with 3.75 kills per set. She is also 13th in the conference with 3.13 digs per set. Setters Mia Naccarato (5.67) and Aylea Dixon (5.43) are eighth and ninth, respectively, in the NWC in assists per set.
 
Linfield has dominated the series against Pacific, winning 39 of the 53 documented meetings. However, the Boxers have won the last six matchups.
 
PACIFIC
The Boxers defeated the Willamette Bearcats twice and the George Fox Bruins once. 2019 first-team all-NWC outside hitter Jordan Zweifel stands third in the conference with 3.36 kills per set.
 
Pacific is second in the conference with 18 digs per set and fourth with 1.86 blocks per set. Haley Walz leads the conference with 6.50 digs per set. Charlotte Powell is second in the NWC with 1.14 blocks per set.

Linfield heads up to George Fox on Thursday, March 25 and hosts the Bruins on Friday.
