The Linfield baseball team returns home after playing on the road for the last two weekends. Linfield takes on the Lewis & Clark Pioneers for four games at Roy Helser Field this weekend.
Start time is 1 p.m. on Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday.

LINFIELD
The Wildcats are 3-5 thus far in 2021 and 1-1 in Northwest Conference. Last Sunday's scheduled doubleheader against Puget Sound was canceled due to inclement weather.
The Wildcats have hit 17 doubles which is tied for fifth in the NWC and 34
th in NCAA Division III.
Levi Horner-Villa has hit three home runs, which is tied for fifth in the league.
Jackson Horner owns a batting average of .417, which is seventh in the conference. He hit his first career home run this past weekend.
Freshman
Gage Mack has turned in three solid starts to begin his college career. He is third in the conference with an ERA of 2.30 and has 15 strikeouts, which is ninth in the conference.
Colton Meyer pitched 6.1 innings against Puget Sound, including 4.1 shutout and had six strikeouts.
The first documented meeting between the two teams came on May 6, 1949, a Pios win 4-2. Linfield leads the series 135-54. The teams did not meet in 2020. Lewis & Clark took two out of three games from the Wildcats in the conference series in 2019. Linfield won a fourth non-conference game.
LEWIS & CLARK
In its season opening series last weekend, Lewis & Clark lost three of four games against Whitman. The Pioneers won 9-7 over the Blues in Game 2 on Saturday, fueled by two RBIs from Jack Thomson and Jakob Ghammachi. Jordan Gonzalez pitched 3.1 innings to earn the win, giving up one run to go with three strikeouts.
Thomson is second in the conference with a batting average of .455.
