The Linfield Wildcats head to Tacoma, Washington, to begin Northwest Conference play against the Puget Sound Loggers this weekend. The teams are scheduled to play doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday. Start times for Game 1 each day is 12 noon.

Northwest Conference rules for this spring mandate that during doubleheaders, both teams will play to nine innings in Game 1 and to seven innings in Game 2.
LINFIELD
The Wildcats went 2-6 in the non-conference portion of the schedule, splitting a four-game series at home against PLU and losing all four matchups to Willamette on the road.
Linfield has hit 17 doubles this season which leads the NWC and ranks 16
th in the country.
Mike LaVigne leads the conference with four doubles and is 24
th in the nation.
Levi Horner-Villa hit two home runs this past weekend to increase his season total to three, which is seventh in NCAA Division III and second in the NWC.
Jackson Horner is fourth in the conference with a .438 batting average.
The Wildcats' starting pitching rotation is made up of

Grant Knox and
Braden Thorn. Mack is second in the conference with an ERA of 1.80 and 14
th in the country with one complete game.
PUGET SOUND
The Loggers are 4-2 after sweeping the Whitworth Pirates in a three-game series and losing two out of three to Pacific Lutheran.
Puget Sound is second in the conference in scoring at 7.7 runs per game and is third with a .301 team batting average. The Loggers' pitching staff has a team ERA of 4.59, second-best in the NWC.
Dylan Joyce leads the team with a .409 batting average, which is seventh in the conference and is fourth with two home runs. Nathan Blocher is seventh in the conference with seven RBIs. The starting pitcher with the lowest ERA on the team is Owen Shellhammer at 3.27, which is seventh in the NWC.
THE SERIES
The Wildcats are 64-20 against the Loggers all-time in documented meetings. The teams' first documented matchup came in 1972. Linfield won the only meeting of 2020 by a score of 11-3.
