McMINNVILLE, ORE. – Hoping to pick up their first Northwest Conference and home win the Wildcats hosted the Whitman Blues on Saturday, March 9
th. Linfield was unable to pick up the victory as the fell to Whitman 0-9.
Belletto's Thoughts
"We played well today, just not well enough to beat Whitman. Eric competed really well in both singles and doubles. We have a great opportunity to take what we learned today and apply it tomorrow," said head coach
Ben Belletto.
The Wildcats started out the match behind as they dropped all three of the doubles matches. Linfield's number three doubles team produced the closest match as they fell 5-8.
Linfield had a few singles players who battled and made the Blues really work to collect their wins.
