NEWBERG, ORE. – A slow start to 2019 continued for the Linfield Wildcats in Newberg where the 'Cats fell to the George Fox Bruins, 15-3. Dropping the final game of the series, Linfield was swept by George Fox for the first time since the 2012 season. With the loss the Wildcats fall to 4-14 (2-10 NWC), the Bruins improve to 13-6 (10-2 NWC).

- George Fox scored the first 13 runs of the game through the first four innings. Highlighting the scoring was a grand slam off the bat of Colby Watilo in the fourth. The Bruins scored eight runs in the fourth inning.
- Linfield scored in the fifth when Cameron Fox reached on a fielder's choice that scored Alec Cook from third.
- Ayden Allen and Tanner Earhart both had two hits the game.
- The Wildcats used seven different pitchers but continue to struggle to find stability out of the bullpen
- Linfield scored two runs in the sixth on an Allen single and a George Fox error.
