MCMINNVILLE, ORE. – The Linfield Wildcats (9-9) hosted Lewis and Clark (2-16) in Ted Wilson Gymnasium on January 25
th. Last time the two squared off the Pioneers edged the 'Cats by three in Portland., however the Wildcats were able to secure the win 70 - 60.
'Cat stats
Molly Danielson and
Kory Oleson continue to lead the way for the Wildcats tonight, Oleson scored a team high of 21 with Danielson close behind her with 15 points. Sophomore
Cameron Reuter was next in line with 11 points.
Morgan Croxford and
Cassidy Schutz contributed in a large way as well as they added 16 points combined. Linfield shot 42.9% from the field and were 18-23 from the line.
Pioneers stats
Four different Pioneers were able to get into the double digits this evening: Johnson (14), Hogman (12), Eitchten (11) and Willie (11). Johnson was one rebound away from a double-double. The Pioneers shot 34.9% from the field and were 76.5% from the free-throw line.
1st Half
The Pioneers went on a four-point run to start the opening period of play.
Molly Danielson would put the Wildcats up as she made back-to-back jumpers and a free throw,
Cameron Reuter would take on two more for the 'Cats to lead 7-4. Linfield and Lewis & Clark would go shot-for-shot till the end of the first quarter. The 'Cats headed into the second quarter with a one-point lead and then went on a seven-point run before the Pios knocked down two free throws. Heading into half time the 'Cats were shooting 51% from the field compared to the Pioneers 37% with a lead of 38-30.
2nd Half
Lewis and Clark started off the second half with a five-point run before
Kory Oleson and Danielson found the bottom of the net and extended the 'Cats lead to six points. The Pioneers were able to get back within in four-points before Schutz and Oleson combined for five points to extend their lead. Danielson picked up her fourth foul of the contest with under two minutes left to play in the third quarter forcing the 'Cats to change up their game plan just a little bit. Lewis & Clark was able to get a quick three-points before the end of the third quarter with a jumper and free-throw. The 'Cats came out hot to start the fourth quarter as Oleson drained a three-pointer from the corner. Reuter went a four-point run of her own to keep the 'Cats momentum.

th as they travel to Pacific Lutheran for a 4:00 p.m. tip-off.
