McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield athletes earned five first-place ribbons during a windy and wet Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational held Saturday at Maxwell Field.
Despite the harsh weather, Saturday's meet brought to campus more than three dozen track and field alumni. The afternoon included a one-mile exhibition race made up entirely of alumni runners.

Travis Olson said he knew the adverse weather would be a challenge to overcome, but was proud of how each of the Wildcats competed.

"We still had some great marks and times which is always positive for our team," said Olson.

Women's highlights
The best event for the Linfield women on the track was the 1-2-3 finish in the 100-meter high hurdles.
Kycie Richwine won the event in a time of 17.52 seconds, followed by
Kristen Burke in 17.54 and
Baylie Cameron in third in 17.85.

Cameron followed up with a first-place finish in the 400 hurdles in 1:07.69.

Ana Ramirez secured fourth place in the 3,000 steeplechase in 12:57.49.

Olivia McDaniel won the pole vault, clearing 3.67 meters (12-0½), a mark that ranks fifth in NCAA Division III. Freshman
Meg Angier was third with a clearness of 3.26 meters (10-8¼).

Josie Knight garnered fourth place in the shot put with an effort of 10.27 meters (33-8½).
Molly Danielson came in fourth in the discus with a best of 34.31 meters (112-7).

Kailey Wright added a fourth-place finish for the 'Cats with her effort of 44.15 (144-10) in the hammer.

Dana Brooks finished off the day for the Wildcats with a runner-up showing in the javelin, turning in a top effort of 35.24 meters (115-7).

Men's Highlights
Taylor Vicknair was the leader on the track for Linfield, winning the 400 hurdles in 1:00.26. Vicknair added a third-place result in the 110 high hurdles in a time of 19.13 seconds.

Jeff Lieder had a good day in the field events for the 'Cats. The senior won the shot put with a best effort of 14.22m (46-8) and followed with a second-place outcome in the discus of 40.44 (132-8).

Teammate
Ryne Fuhrmark finished second behind Lieder in the shot with a put of 13.21 (43-4½). He was also third in the discus with a toss of 38.28 (125-7).

Cody Mitchell and Alex Miller each garnered fourth-place finishes. Miller threw the javelin 46.40 (152-3) and Mitchell achieved the same position in the hammer with a heave of 36.26 (118-11).

The Northwest Conference Multi-Events Championships are set for Monday and Tuesday at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. The full team is scheduled compete Friday and Saturday at the Lewis & Clark Invitational.
